The product is characterized by its low heat of hydration hence preventing cracking of structures and high 28-day compressive strengths of up to 52.5Mpa. The common uses include but not limited to: WebRapid hardening cement attains high strength in the early days; it is used in concrete where formworks are removed at an early stage and are similar to ordinary portland cement (OPC). This cement has increased lime content and contains higher c3s content and finer grinding, which gives higher strength development than OPC at an early stage.
